Natasha Wright graduated with an MFA from the New York Studio School in 2018. Currently living and working in New York City, Wright is represented in New Zealand by Sanderson Contemporary, Auckland. She has exhibited widely across the United States and Australasia, including solo shows in New York, Auckland, and Sydney.

Wright’s work has been featured at art fairs such as the Spring/Break Art Show in Los Angeles and New York, Sydney Contemporary, and the Aotearoa Art Fair. Her work is held in prominent public and private collections, including The Arts House Trust (New Zealand), and has been reviewed extensively in international publications, including Harper’s Bazaar, Artsy, Hyperallergic, Art Collector, and Denizen.

Wright’s practice centers on large-scale figurative painting, exploring the complex dynamics of modern femininity, power, and identity. Her heavily layered surfaces challenge traditional representations of the female form. In contrast to today's digital landscape of instantaneous spectacle, she focuses on the lived, physical experience of the subject rather than the self-consciousness of performance.
